FIRE EXTINGUISHERS (MOBILE AND PORTABLE)
MTIC InterCert is authorized by Italian Ministry concerned to issue certification for fire extinguishers.
Pursuant to Italian Ministerial Decree of 7th January 2005 and Italian Ministerial Decree 06/03/1992 “Homologation means the final act attesting to the successful completion of the technical-administrative procedure aimed at recognizing the requirements laid down by the sectorial provisions. With this recognition reproduction of the homologated prototype and related marketing on the national territory is authorized according to the procedures set forth by the competent Authority;” and “The homologation shall be valid for five years and may be renewed upon request by the manufacturer, each time it expires, for an additional period of five years. This renewal does not involve repetition of the technical tests provided for by the regulations if the manufacturer declares that the fire extinguisher has not been modified”.
Assessment of the characteristics and performances, as well as classification of mobile fire extinguishers shall be carried out as specified in UNI 9492/CNVVF/CPAI, whereas assessment of the characteristics and performances, as well as classification of portable fire extinguishers shall be carried out as specified in UNI EN3/7:2004, or in an equivalent standard adopted by a national regulatory body of a European Union country or contracting party of the EEA Agreement.
